Today I will share with you my experiences with podcast, for this Blog I connected with two other librarian candidates to create an informational podcast using Podbean. I included our group sample podcast and have also evaluated following three podcasting tools.
As a group we created a Podcast – School Library’s Role during COVID-19. We divided up 9 task and created a script using Google Docs and then recorded it and I have included PodBean link below:
School Library's Role and Resources during COVID-19: This podcast contains information regarding the resources and services available for students, teachers, and staff from the school library. It also contains directions and precautions for the returning of books and when collecting the technology for virtual learning.
I have also included a recording from my favorite podcast creator and recorded another simple podcast using Anchor on my Mac computer:

Anchor is a tool I am interested in trying. I like the idea of adding music as another creative component.
ReplyDeleteI found your review of the podcasting platforms to be very informative and easy to read. I have not used Anchor but I reviewed Podbean and Buzzsprout for my blog and found Podbean to be super easy to use. Your podcast provided information about COVID-19 resources that I will be able to use and share. Thank you for your post.
ReplyDeleteMilissa, your reviews were helpful! I had never used Anchor before until one of my group members introduced it to me and I can honestly say I love it. Prior to that I had used Podbean which was easy but pretty basic with not a lot of functions like the ones that Anchor provides for free. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI really like Anchor. I am glad I found someone else who used it. Thank you for your bulleted points, it made it easy to compare all three podcasting services. I think the least favorite of all of them for me would be Buzzsprout. I think the deleting after 90 days would not work for me, but I am not sure. I guess it depends on the context in which I am using it.
